swapping cylinder heads - fuel injection 200 1986

I drive a 1986 240 with a B200 carbureted engine; i have a 1986 240 for spare parts, which has a B230 injected engine.

What do I have to do to get the injection system onto the B200? Can I just transfer the injection part? Can I transfer the cylinder head? Do I have to move the entire engine?
thanks for anyone who can help

swapping cylinder heads - fuel injection 200 1986

In view of the number of threads here from people with problems of "no start - what next ?" from their injection systems I'd consider retaining a carburetted system if at all possible. Another question might be, would the B230 engine convert to carburettor? Would the bits from the B200 fit and work?
Just a thought. I have an injection B200 myself and sometimes yearn for the simplicity of a carburetted set up.

I believe that such a swap would by a colossal amount of work, and may not actually operate. Besides the head, intake and exhaust manifolds and exhaust down pipe, the B230F needs two electric fuel pumps (don't know what the B200 has), two computers, different main wiring harness, and maybe more.

If you decide to do the swap, keep us posted.

Regards,

Bob
