first volvo brake job done 200

so i just finished replacing (f) brake pads for the first time. 50 min. and no trouble. woohoo! that was friendly. i do however need to take them all apart again soon to replace rotors cause they're on the thin and very rusty side. any sugestions of what brand(s) to go for (or rather which brand(s) to stay away from)? i have no need for extra fancy drilled out rotors, just a basic solid set.

While your at it get wheel bearing grease and 2 seals. So long as the bearings are ok you can clean and repack them.

One easy way to get the old seal out is remove the outter bearing, and re-install the nut, and then pull off the rotor. That leaves the inner bearing on the axle stub and the old seal with it.

With new pads on dead rotors you want to limit miles, as the new pads will take a wear pattern, which could transfer to the new rotors... You probably don't want that...

If the backing plates are nasty you might also wish to renew those at the same time... Your there any way... Mac

Also agree on getting Brembo. No problems with the one I had to replace 2 years ago. I believe I payed about $25 for one. This was for the rear rotor.
