volvo 740 1989

in need of help have cleaned fire trap on volvo 740 and pipes no blockage but still has pressure building must be a blockage in oil trap have manual but no inside view of oil trap to see if it can be cleaned without removing sump can any one help with an inside view of oil trap please

I know you've cleaned it, but did you also clean out the small vacuum hose to the flame trap? On my 87, that hose was solid with varnish for about 3 inches in the middle. A coat hanger and a lot of solvent finally broke it free.

See the 700/90 FAQ for a view. You do not need to take the breather trap apart: you can fill it with solvent to remove crud. No need to remove sump eitehr, just be careful in pulling the trap off so you do not pull the drain hose out of the sump.
