Head bolts for a 122 120-130

I just talked to the dealer and he says head bolts for a 122 are "nla". Does anyone have a source?

Thanks for the help.

    Jim;

    If you don't need too many, and mind used (still better than new taiwanese bolts with counterfit grade 8 markings), I have a few for you. Contact me off-line.

    Cheers

    They are 7/16" - 14 UNC. You can measure the length and get them at any
    good fastener store. Should be grade 8. The one fly in the ointment will be
    that they will probably come with 5/8" heads rather than 11/16" but even
    that can be overcome with hard washers as furnished by IPD and others.

    One of the advantages of the "REAL" Volvo - you can get bolts for them.

    Did your bolts go bad, get lost or what? Oh- I think I remember you broke
    a couple.

      Yep, broke one and "look forward" to doing it again when I get to work on another engine that has been out of commission for a while.

      The technique you guys suggested worked wonders. It took a few days with "Blaster" and a gentle tug with a pipe wrench got it out. I was hesitant, and if it had taken much torque I wouldn't have had the nerve to do it without waiting the suggested week of soaking.

    If Swedish Classics doesn't have them, CVI has them in their catalogue: www.cvi-automotive.se. So does Scandcar: www.scandcar.nl. But there must be other US suppliers that carry them. Check the supplier links at www. v-classics.com.

          I've had problem with used bolts, in race (friend's GT3), in supercharged use, and in the condition of starting in Canadian winters and running a 197deg thermostat.

          I *strongly* recommend using ARP brand studs in place of bolts, for reliable gasket seal in circumstances outside original Volvo design parameters. They are just over $100 with nuts and washers
