Whichever sway bar fits, pay careful attention -- i.e. find out beforehand -- what the new bushings will turn out to be.

What I mean is, Volvo changed the design sometime ago. The rubber now has a squared off bottom (was "U" shaped) and requires a different shackle. If ordering new bushings, you likely will need the correct (new style) shackles.

    I didn't know a sway bar from a 900 would fit a 240.

        "im sure it does."

If you're sure, then go for it. Carefully remove the original and put your free sway bar alongside for comparison.

        I suspect you'll find that they're different.

        IPD's part number for a 25mm/25mm sway bar kit for a 940 is WS6K5023.
