i have a 740 gle w/o turbo. the transmisison is pretty much blown. i'm looking for someone sort of local(central florida/orlando area) that would have either a rebuilt, or a wrecked donor car. i would prefer a fellow brickboarder, seeing as there would be a better chance of the car being taken care of.

If it's an 88 with the AW70 (your shifter says "PRND21") then no problem, they're really cheap for good used units. Not worth rebuilding.
If it's an 87 or earlier car with the ZF transmission (shifter says "PRND321") then you want to do a transplant to the AW70, and you need the drivesahft and shifter from a parts car. WAY too expensive to rebuild, and good units are really rare for the ZF.

They have always stood behind what they have sold to me both the good and the bad. Not exactly what you are looking for but an option.
