Break noise 200 1987

I replaced the rear break pads but did not replace the hardware, (i.e. the clip and pins) and now when I press the breaks sometimes it makes a clunking noise. If I replace this hardware will it stop the noise?

Are you sure you push the pins allll the way in??

I don't think anyone replaces the pins aspring clip unless they are bent, rusted or worse.

I lightly sand the road dirt off the pins and put a very light coat of Lithium grease on them.
