I don't know much about the 900 series and a friend asked me about a car he was considering for his son. California car on a dealer's lot, been there a couple of months, and they want to get rid of it. It's a '96 945t, auto trans, Volvo stereo, third seat, 85K miles, serviced at the same dealer since new, they want $11,000 for it. I told him to offer 9K in cash and see if they bite.

Couple of questions,

Are there any problems to look for in a 900 series car of that year and what's the average price for a 945 of that vintage?

Given that the last 945 was sold in North America for 95 model year, there is a discrepancy. $11k for that vintage is too much. Check edmunds.com
