Hello,

Does anyone have a suggestion about upgrading the swaybars on a 960 of 1996 ???
It is very difficult to get an upgrade aftermarket swaybar.
Maybe there is a possibility of making the original swaybar stiffer or thicker ?
Any experiences ?

I guess the ambulances had these pieces strengthened - these are Volvo original parts and should be easy to get hold of - at least in Europe

I like the remark about the ambulances. In the mean time I found a Volvo dealer that can get the heavier rear sway bar for the latest 960/S90 models, part no.1343274. This item is also mentioned somewhere else on this forum, together with the sports kit. Indeed it seems that parts like these are easier to get here in Europe than they are in the U.S.

Check IPD they have alot of good aftermarket suspension components, i think it is www.ipdusa.com.

The 960 anti-sway bar is very strong, but the links are weak. I hope there is any upgrade links available.
