Knock Sensor 700 1989

Does anyone know where the Knock sensor is located and if it can cause hesitation on acceleration?? Thanks, Tank

eh eh. hesitation almost invariably TB cleaning or vacuum leak. 700 1989

Yes, there may be something else wrong but check these first.

If you really want to check the sensor, disconnect it and unscrew the mounting bolt from the engine, reconnect it to the harness and wrap the sensor/connector in a shop rag and cable tie it loosely. The sensor will thus not detect any significant vibration. If hesitation goes away, it's likely the knock sensor; if it doesn't go away it's not necessarily NOT the sensor, it's just that you'll have to replace the sensor or G2 the harness to find the source.

But I stand by my original comment...not likely the knock sensor. Find the vacuum leak.

on a B230F, it is located under the intake manifold between runners 2 and 3.
