Changed my main and sunroof headliner (which was a big job btw.) Anyway, I got a few little smudges of grease mostly on the edges of the sunroof headliner.
I installed 1/8" off-white foambacked fabric headliner material. Any thoughts on what to use to remove the smudges? Thanks ahead of time.

Believe it or not, simple rubbing alcohol wipes worked well for me to remove the bits of windshield glue that got on my headliner in the replacement process. I also found that spraying a bit of Resolve onto a soft cloth and gently working on the spot worked well as well. If I really was having a hard time, a spare spray of WD-40 on a soft cloth, followed by GENTLE rubbing, then by a mild cleaner, worked well. I made the mistake of stopping by my dry cleaner to ask about what to use to get a felt-tip marker mark off the ceiling and he proceeded to say, Oh, I will help you with that, and used spot remover and WAILED on the spot so that there is no spot anymore but a nice obvious indentation where he squashed the headliner fabric.

Ditto. Use it straight and dab with a sponge. Rub as little as possible.
