Piston slap question.

I read a post the elluded to using a heavier weight oil to reduce piston slap. Is that true. I use 10w 30 now what would I use for a heavier wieght?

My 740 Turbo has 280k on it and a piston slap for the last 50k and l use 20w50 quakerstate with no problems

Is your piston slap less with the 20w50?
