need info about a 76 b21f 200 1976

I recently bought a 76 245. the engine runs fine and I feels like it has pretty low miles(odometer seems to have problems), but I can tell that things aren't as they should be, because it doesnt have an air injection system, and some vacuum hoses don't go anywhere. What I need is a picture of a the same year of engine, or some diagram, I dont know. the number on the timing belt cover is 516 if that means anything. Also it is developing problem where its hard to start when warm.
I can tell this car is going to be an endless supply of entertainment for me.
but is there someone out there who's familiar with 76's that I could talk to?

thanks

the hard start when hot could be a bad check valve in the fuel pump(this was very common). if you look under the hood,on drivers side of engine there is a small square plug that plugs into the sensor plate housing that the fuel distributor mounts to. this plug locks on with a small wire clip and sort of points towards the strut tower. unplug this and the fuel pump will start to run as soon as the key is turned on. when the car is hot, turn the key on and wait a few seconds and then try to start the car, giving about a quarter throttle if need be.
also, 1976 did not have a pre-pump in the tank(from the factory)they were added later at the dealer. if the car would sit in the sun or the temp outside was very warm they would vapor lock. this could happen also if the pre-pump is bad.
p would try the plug first and listen the thepump. you will actually be able to hear the fuel coming up to the engine.

Um, is it a Canadian spec car or something?

If you search through the archives (or check my posts over the past few
months) I know I've posted at least once or twice about the emissions
equipment found on US Spec K-Jet 240s.

Have you contacted the IPD people in Portland? They'd be a resource too. 200 1976

Will try to pull some stuff together later. But I'm not very net savvy for pics etc.
