How do I get the radiator fan switch in

New grommet, new switch....verrrry tight. What's the trick? A bigger hammer?

How do I get the radiator fan switch in

Did it just a few weeks ago but don't recall the details. I may have put the grommet in first, then lubed the switch and forced it, getting an angle start and working it around. (Got to stop now, getting all worked up.)

Finnally after all these years, Foster is wrong.

"Best use of KY jelly yet."

I won't argue that KY will work here....but there are better uses...

No, Foster is not wrong.

Sorry, Paul, I disagree. It's far better to use naturally occurring ingredients than the artifical stuff in a tube.

Foster is not exactly wrong.

I won't disagree with that statement, but you wrote:

"Best use of KY jelly yet."

Let just say I'd rather be radiating a lubed bung, than bunging my lubed radiator.

Use water & wet the rubber fittings first.
Then slide the switch into the hole, tap it light with malette
