I needed to replace the in-tank transfer fuel pump, as it was no longer functioning.
The top of the sending unit was covered in rust/corrosion ,so I used a brass brush to clean most of the rust off. As I was removing each rubber hose from the top of the sender unit the metal fuel hose/piping that is attached to the top of the sender unit itself snaped off. The place where it's snaped off is flush with the top of the sender unit.
My questions are:
Is it easliy repairable?
Do I need a new fuel sending unit?
And if I do, I assume I attach the new pump and filter to this and pop it back in.
I've been hunting around and found one online for $80 from http://www.volksparts.com/V240.htm
Thanks
Andy
