radio code does not work 700

I disconnected the negative battery terminal after cleaning the TB and tried to punch in the code but the radio won't take it. Have no clue what to do next. Help is appreciated! Chris

Try turning key to accessory position and leaving there for 2 hours. The display should ask for the code after about this amount of time...turn your lights off to save the battery. Good Luck.

I heard of a trick where you pull out the fuse to the radio (number 12 I think but check) and it reset my friend's radio without needing the code.
