1990 740 Hood Match 700 1990

The hood on my 1990 740GL Wagon has been injured beyond repair. In trying to find a replacement I have been told that only another hood from a 1990 740 will fit, and they are relatively rare. Is this correct?

Yes, that is correct. 1991-92 interchange, and 1983-1989 interchange.
