Where is the flame trap? 900

Hi,

need to find out where the flame trap is in my car. I have the turbo engine, B230FT, does it have one? if so where is it exactly..any pix. thanks.

    Where is the flame trap? 900

    Only the normally-apsirated (non-turbo) engines have a flame trap. The turbos still have the flame trap housing, but there's no actual flame trap in there.

    To find it, follow the 1.5" or so tube that goes over the engine to the right (looking into the engine compartment). At that end it comes to a white elbow (between the intake runners 3 and 4 ) with another tiny vacuum line attached to it. This is elbow is the flame trap housing/PCV junction.

    FYI, this little white elbow is connected to a short 3" or 4" hose at the bottom, and directly below that is the oil separator/oil trap that folks have been talking about quite a bit here lately.
