Hi:

I bought a Bosch alternator for my 1979 245, but wound up getting rid of the car after only a couple miles.

The parts store would not take it back, so I put it on eBay. A bidder wrote me to ask if it will fit her '86 240.

Will it? If the part number is:

1197 311 004

EL14V4B

Yes, certainly. Is it 60 amp or 75? Either will work and I think the 60 was standard on the 86 anyway.
