Blaupunkt PCx402 4' speakers? 200

Will these speakers fit in the original door speaker location? The Crutchfield site has a few dimensions:

I don't mind doing a little modification, but I'd like to use the factory grills on my '88, and of course I need to know that it will clear the window (not powered).

Get these grill adapters and you will have no worries. The stock 240 grills snap right on over the metal frame. The speaker in the pic is the new 4" Alpine SPS100A. I'm not sure about the Blaupunkts, but the Alpines fit great with no clearance problems and they sound very good.

They fit, but mine sound like crap and are dwarfed by the rear 6x9's I put in.

I believe these will work with the later model factory grills. If not, there are adapter plates that fit the door panels and allow use of factory grills to achieve more depth. If they somehow don't work, Crutchfield will gladly take them back. The first ones I tried on our '81 didn't work, but that was before I found out about the adapter plates from a local stereo shop.

Good Luck,
Jeff
