Throttle body vacuum 200 1986

Sorry for the poor punctuation and capitilization usage,or lack there of.

I'm experiencing rough idle/stalling on my 1986 244.
While checking my vaccum lines I noticed that the throtle body had two vacuum ports but the one furthest from firewall didn't have anything attached.
What,if anything goes there?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank You

On my 84 B32F the both the rear smaller port and the larger front port go
to the carbon canister located under the front left corner of the vehicle.
I am not entirely sure this applies to your B230 but it's worth a look...
Be sure to check the line that runs to your ECU (brain) where it plugs in
to the brain mounted sensor, I had a problem there.
Best

Yes, that vacuum hose in my '88 also goes to the canister through a hole in the driver's side wheel well that is underneath the headlight, just behind the radiator. Do you have a loose vacuum line coming from there?

If your throttle body has had this vacuum line unattached for a long time you will definitely need to take the throttle body off and clean it. It's not difficult, and there have been some recent threads on that subject. Also you should go through all of your vacuum lines to check them out. Make sure there are no frayed ends that fit loosely. Try to bend them where they connect to see if the outside wall has cracks in it. If so you if is old and compromised and you will want to replace it, or in a pinch you can try to cut off an inch or so at the end and reconnect it. Vacuum leaks are common and can definitely effect performance in the way that you described.
