Maintenance Manual 244GL 200 1985

I need a manual or a reliable website for maintenance and repairs for my 1985 244GL. I am looking right now for info about replacing brakes.

I have both the Bentley and Haynes and perfer the Bentley. Just look at the size of it. I see them all the time on Ebay.

You have come to the right place, spend some time getting to learn how to use this site. In no time You will be able to fix problems you didn't even know you had!! I have found more USEFUL info here than anywhere else. The manuals I have, chiltons & haynes, are mediocre at best but better than nothing. If you have a problem, there is someone here that has had it and cured it. Compared to many other cars, Volvos' are pretty simple and fairly easy to work on. Good luck and keep rolling.rcs

As far as manuals are concerned, the Bentley manual is considerably more comprehensive than the others. The Chilton and Haynes are both OK, and will certainly suffice if you're just doing a brake rebuild.

You certainly have found a "reliable website for maintenance and repairs," and then some. If you do a search (use the "more search options" link at the bottom right hand of the screen) or read through the 700 FAQ list, you can probably find out what you need about brakes. Or if you have a specific question you can post it to this board.
