Personally I think they should have shortened the wheelbase instead of lengthening the front doors.

That's pretty cool... exactly how I've always envisioned a "143"... that is, use doors from a 2door, and use the rearmost vent windows form a '70 or earlier wagon. I sure as hell wouldn't put a V6 in the poor thing though...

That's not a V6. Its the all aluminum Buick V8 that was sold to British Leyland in the mid 60's and subsequently used in just about anything it would fit in for decades (from Morgans to Range Rovers). I think it was last used just a couple of years ago in the Land Rover Discovery here in the US, probably still being used in the UK.

I don't think they lengthened them, they look like 142 doors to me.
