Do I have diagnostics? 700

I have a 1987 745T with LH injection and a B230FT...and I was wondering what type of diagnositcs my car has...I do NOT have the light display that puts out the engine problems. There is a 6 prong connector with a cover that is attached to my valve cover and I am assuming this has something to do with diagnostics.

Is it, what will it report and how do I use it?

Thanks a ton in a bundle...

Russ

I had a question about that six prong socket on the valve cover when rebuilding my 89 B230FT engine. It was attached to some sort of sensor on the rear right hand side of the engine block in the bell housing section. This was pointed at the flywheel which had what looked like 4 magnetic inserts at 90 degree intervals. What the hell was it? I knew my car had a hall sensor distributor so in was not a firing sensor like on the later models. John Sargent provided the answer and said it was a dealer accessable timing sensor, I would guess to check the camshaft timing to the crankshaft timing. No diagnostics - so sorry.

You have LH2.2 with no self-diagnostic capabilities.

No diagnostics or fault codes except for a couple of small helpful features on your LH2.2 system. There is a test point that will assist in adjusting the mixture at idle. It is documented in the FAQ section. Another test point will disable the idle control motor so you can set the base idle. I also seem to remember seeing something in the schematics referred to as EZ K test point, not sure what it's for.
