E-Code Questions 700

I've just installed a set of e-codes in the '89 turbo to replace the 4 rectangular headlights. I changed the terminals around in the old headlight connector (low beam side) to match the H-4 bulb according to info recieved here on the BB. Here's the problem...the high beams work great, good white light and a nice sharp cutoff. The low beams, however, are very weak and almost yellow in appearance, and now my fog lights won't work. Also, when the low beams are on, there is a very faint glow to the high beam indicator on the dash. The current bulbs are H-4 60/55 IIRC.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm out on the road and will be doing a bit of night driving over the next few days.

E-Code Questions 700

Hi
I wish I could help you but I myself have a 89 and want to do a E-code convetion . were did you buy the kit and how much did it cost . I was going to put some silver stars in last month but thought that would be a waste. and last year I replaced all the front turn signals and side markers.
Did you remove yours to put the E codes
good luck

I bought them from a private party for a bit less than $300. The kit did include the turn signal/parking lights which, unfortunately, the US bulb holders don't fit very well.
