the 4 bolts between the halves of the back seat come out ok, but there are some pegs connected to a bent sheeet metal bracket at the outer ends of the seat povot. I would love to know how to disengage these without getting all destructive. I got some cherry, color matched leather rear seatbacks at pick n pull, but only by twisting those outer brackets off the car...
Any help appreciated. My car is an 85

and just remember to keep your parts catalog handy for when all that brittle plastic cracks off while your playing with the seats. ;-)

I took a set out of a 940 (same difference)......I believe there was a latch on one side (passenger?) that released the smaller half-section. It had a pin that interlocked it to the larger half. When I removed the smaller section, it exposed the larger sections side, where it became obvious how the pin unlatched itself, thus releasing it.

If that doesn't make sense, I will look at my 745's back seat and try to esplain it better :)
