Looking for: Bulb Failure Relay/Seat Heater Switch 200 1990

Where are the "best" places/stores/etc to go to find these items preferably not named "Volvo". But, if that's my only option, I'll settle. At least with Volvo I know it's a quality part.

Thanks!

Are you having problems or are you just looking for spares?

Sorta both. The seat heater switch is something I am having problems with. And from what I have heard, the cruise control runs off the bulb failure relay and well, mine hasn't been working for a few months. (I can't pinpoint if it was around the same time I fixed the 3rd brake light on my wagon). So, I'm looking for an extra in that case, but I'm also having problems with it.

The cruise control ground through the brake lights (not the BFWR AFAIK). Check for another non functioning brake bulb first.

Seat heater switch ... take it apart and clean it. Worse that can happen is you break a switch that was broken to begin with anyways, right?

Are you sure it's the relay and not a mismatched bulb somewhere in the system? As bulbs age, their draw currents can vary too, due to oxidation in the socket and just plain "wear" on the element.

I always replace the bulbs by the pairs. Never had an issue with the bulb-out sensor/relay in that regard.

Call or email the good folks at FCP Groton (opens a new window). They might stock the parts, might be able to get them, or may have suggestions.

Incidentally, if you're handy with a soldering iron and electronics tools, those two items can often be repaired for $0. And if the work helps nothing, you're out nothing.
