I have a day available to get either my ball joints and struts done, or to replace the motor mounts. I don't think I have enough time to do both. I'm thinking BJ and struts first since that is more of a safety issue.

How long can I put off motor mounts? I notice a little slop in the shifter, and some incresed engine noise transmitted to the frame, but no other problems. Local shop recommended I replace moter mounts because of increased engine noise.

Check the clearance between the rubber bump strip under the pan and the front cross member. If the clearance is less than 1/4 inch, the engine mounts would be my priority unless the ball joints were badly worn. Otherwise I'd go with the ball joints and struts first.
