replacing electric mirror 700 1990

Could someone please walk me thru removal of my driver side door panel and replacing my heated mirror? This is my first time doing ANY work on a car...could not bring myself to pay $200+ to replace a mirror!! 740Turbo Thanks!

Remove the three white clips at the bottom of the door. You can look up and see them from below. Remove the red lens cover at the back of the door panel. On your year of car the lens is integral with the clip which retains the door at the rear. Turn the plastic clip (inside the door handle) 90º, and remove it. Unscrew the lock knob. Push the speaker grill forward, and it will pop of off the plactic retainer pins. Work the plastic handle inside the door grab up and out. Now pull the door panel out at the bottom, and lift it up and off of the lock knob rod and off of the door. Unplug the speaker as you remove the door panel. Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the plastic trim covering the mirror base off. You will probably break one of the plastic retaining pins if you don't do this right. Remove the three 8mm head bolts holding the mirror to the door. Unplug the wiring harness and remove the mirror.
