P1800 side lights? 1800

Could anyone tell me what year or years did the 1800 get side lights or parking lights added? All my reading doesn't seem to say what year they were added TX Al

I *think* the side markers appeared in the U.S. market for the '69 model year (possibly '68?)... not sure what you mean about parking lights -- they all have those.

1968 was when the US started requiring them. You see 'em on that year 122. Since there were no (or very very few) '68 1800s made, 1969 would be an appropriate answer.

1968 for Amrican importing moddles side lenses reflectings only: not lightings but same ugliness in daytime. Lighting bulbs inside later. Svet say 1970 same as injection motors. Blut thinking 1969. Will settle like men and have good answer later.

Plus "P1800" is early car: no P1800 for 1968. Only olderers. And no P with reflekting on sides.

Guess that about settles it... reflectors appear in '68. Light bulbs inside starting with 1970 model year.

My 145 made January 1970 does have lights inside.

OF course, that is all for US models. All you other folks'll have to figure it out for yourselves :-)
