Rear Seat Belt Stuck 200 1982

The passengers side rear seatbelt is locked in a very tight position, and I am unable to get it to loosen. Anyone know of a way to release it so it can be used again?

I tried dissassembling mine (both back seat ones are jammed)
Nearly took out my eye cause i opened up the wrong side of the reel.
BE VERY CAREFUL!

I haven't tried with the other side.

This happened to my 245DL...I had to take off the trim panel in the rear cargo area to access the inertia reel (seatbelt retractor) directly. I don't remember the details since this was many years ago, but I had to partially disassemble the inertia reel and put it back together again to get it to release the belt.
