Dear Bricksters,

What brand coolant do you use in your 240 ?
50/50 mix ?

    I think I have green stuff in there right now.

    STAY AWAY from that 5-year coolant junk. You still need to change it every 2 years, and that stuff isn't really good for the cooling system, at least, that's how I understand it.

    As for only using that Volvo coolant, don't worry about it. Just buy some pure coolant, and some steam distilled water from a local grocery store, and mix it your self. 50/50 is a common recommendation, but if it's very very cold where you live, you might even try 60/40 (coolant:water).

    It does say "Volvo Type C coolant" on a sticker on the reservoir. The coolant in there is blue (not green like the common stuff).

      Do you buy your coolant at the dealership ?
      My coolant is "greyish" at this stage, don't know what was put in, may be both the blue and green stuff...

      Any "Volvo coolant C" like you recommand that can be bought at automotive store ?
