Sway Bar thickness 200

Does anywone know the thicknesss of the Turbo Sway bars, front and rear? Also i would like to know the size of the stock N/A ones, if u dont mind. FInally, is the myth true about the new 240s (90-93) having thicker sway bars (the N/A anyway)?

Thanks in advance,
Blake

My '91 240 originally had 21mm front thickness and 19mm rear anti-sway bars. Some time ago, I found a 240 turbo at a junk yard, pulled the slightly thicker bars (23mm/21mm), and installed them on my car. I also ordered the upper chassis braces from IPD. There was a remarkable improvement in ride stability.

NOTE: You will need different front brackets and bushings if you try to mount the thicker turbo swaybars onto a normally-aspirated 240.

NA sway bars varied in the early years, going as small as 19mm/17mm I believe, but most had 21mm/19mm bars. The 260s had some other combinations. The GT had 21mm/23mm in '79, along with the R-sport springs in front. The turbos, as mentioned, were 23mm/21mm. These are all sedan numbers. Wagons, if they had a rear bar at all, typically got a smaller one (17 or 19mm).

Yes, 23 front, 21 rear on a turbo sedan only. Never heard of larger bars on 90s 240s and it is not true that their bars are different.
