I have the center caps for my '83 DL, but no rings around the outside. Anyone have a decent set for sale possibly? I have other caps over the whole deal right now, off a later volvo, but like the originals better. Thanks y'all

Never bought anything off ebay actually, does anyone know how much shipping would be approximately from north carolina to vancouver BC? i was hoping to find something closer than those ones......

I don't know what the shipping would be- www.usps.com may answer that question... but the thing with ebay is, shipping costs are set by the seller. You may pay actual shipping, or the seller may charge a fixed rate for every item, regardless of weight or destination, or they may include some kind of inflated "handling charges"... and, after all, boxes, bubble wrap etc. DO cost something. Like the auction price itself, I think it largely depends on your desire for the particular item, whether the shipping charge seems fair.

Ya, that makes sense. I'll think i'll just wait to find some around here, easier that way. and plus, i'm not in a huge hurry.

msw: the rings are the same idea, but i'm pretty sure they're all different sizes for different cars. i ran into a bunch of headaches finding them when i had my '68 pontiac.

These are special items? I had some on my old '84, came on the car, I just figured they were generic dress-up from Autozone or VIP or some such...An '89 Horizon I once owned had 'em too, certainly wasn't anything special about those.

Just for your info and pricing comparisons: I picked up 4 stainless steel rings and 4 caps with centers (centres?) at the Pick 'n Pull near me a few days ago. They were on an '84DL which I'm slowly cannibalizing. All in near-perfect condition, and all polished up beautifully with some Simichrome. Rings were $3.99 each and caps/centers were $4.99 each. Can't offer them - they're going on our 83.
