Well, I don't know if the clutch will bolt up, but you'd need either a flywheel from a 1989-up 240 or 740 M47 car, or a 1990-91 740 T M46 car. I don't know what differences there would be in the clutch between an M46 and an M47, though the turbo cars had a hydraulic clutch.
The older cars won't work since there's no hole in the top of the bell housing for the crank sensor you need.
The casting for the bell housing IS relieved for it, on some earlier cars. Back to 1983 I think- you'll see the thin area on the casting. Just knock it out to fit the crank sensor. A 1986 M46 would be especially good since it's got the electronic speedo, so you don't have to worry about dealing with the cable drive hole.
You do need a driveshaft and the clutch pedal assembly and cable.
I didn't notice where you are located before I replied, but The Autowerkes in my home town has several 4+OD and 5-speed parts cars in their back lot. They may well be willing to sell complete setups to people- they're Volvo nuts.

Good luck!
