i've narrowed it down, now i need your help!!! 200 1992

i'm not sure if anyone read my other post (http://brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=710374), but i've narrowed it down. My old man picked up a continuity tester for me as an early christmas gift. I checked all the fuses and it show's the error being on the last 2 fuses, the left and right parking lamps (which explains why my car would only die during night driving).
So, cutting to the chase, there are several different spots i'll need to check, most of which are buried under the dash. Now, there is also a box i need to check that kinda hangs down into the wheel well where the spare tire goes (the wires for both left and right go into this). I haven't had a spare tire in this spot for a while so my thoughts are this: water somehow got into this little box through the drain hole and has caused something to screw up. If anyone has had similar problems or suggestions, i would greatly appreciate your help. thanks.

Stub,

If you have a box in the wheelwell that connects to the parking lights, this sounds like it might be a converter box for tow hitch lighting.

Check under the rear of the car and see if you have hitch connector or wiring thats damaged, wet, or corroded.
