I want to fix the lumbar support on both my seats. The cable is broken.
Any advise on how to proceed???

Check this site. Look on the left side and Click on Tony's seat rebuild. I believe the 700 is much the same as the 200.

There's some pics there too.

Take the seat out of the car...it's well worth the Ten minutes. The first time I left the seat in. After taking it out the second time...I'll NEVER keep it in again. You actually save time taking out if the car and putting it up on a work bench.

Thanks for your info. I have fixed my seat, and your infor got me going!!!!!!
As I dug into the process I found that 92 740 leather seats are a little different. The lumbar is a 5" band of strong nylon running accross the width of the foam with 2 rectangular clips on each end. The hooks on the tensioner end break. I used 4 s rings from my hardware store.

ipdusa.com - they have a fairly easy-to-use kit I used a couple of summers ago. Took me about three hours (with no prior seat experience).

Someone made a post last month regarding the lumbar support cable. They where pretty discriptive as to the procedure they took. They used a coat hanger to fix it! Check it out... might help. Worked for me!
