two questions. 1. anybody use synthetic xmission/ motor oil? if so what kind? 2. i have recently noticed... 1800

...a 1 or 2 second delay when deselecting overdrive in my '73 p1800es. the delay doesn't seem to be there when selecting odrive. ( i normally use the clutch when selecting/deselecting odrive). tried it w/out the clutch and still get the same delay.
...
anybody else here notice the same thing?

    one more question... anybody have a favorite technique for replacing the radio antenna and cable in the p1800? the mast snapped off...i thought.. 1800

    .. i would try to usscrew the old mount (seems to be frozen) lift it up and snip the old cable, tape the new cable (male end) to the old cable and try to pull it through from the passenger compartment.

      never mind i just got it installed. i snipped the old cable and it promptly fell through... 1800

      ...got a metal coat hangar and taped one end to the male end of the new cable. messed around a little finding the hole in the passenger compartment with the other end of the hangar. got it and pulled it through. the project went much quicker than i expected.
