Lookin' for a GOOD Volvo mechanic in Baltimore

Hi Allen,

I am in Balto as well and have a few stories too about some of the Volvo dealers/mechanics around here...we should list them and see if we have visited the same people.

I recently had some work done on my 96 960 and my Wife's MB ML320 by Schnauble automotive...a small shop in Westminster (a bit of a drive, but...). They have done quality work both times and are very fair and do a complete job. Most importantly, their diagnostic skills have been spot on, saving time and money for us. Problem is that they are always a little backed up and slow.

They are not "Volvo" specialists, but are at least good at getting the job done at a good price comapared to the dealer. They definatly do not have the dealer mentality and just throw parts at the problems.

I do some of my own work on our cars...brakes, plugs, oil, wheel bearings... routine stuff

Send me an email sometime if you want my list of where not to go from my experiences. elewis@jhmi.edu
