window seals for 164 140-160

My '71 164 is finally out of the garage and in need of the exterior window seals (all 4) to keep the rain out of the door interior. After searching many part shops on the web and coming up empty, I'm looking for some advice - thanks!

Early on my father decided that the OEM seals will not withstand the rains of Cape Town. He bought a roll of aftermarket seal and glued it to the door with contact glue. Only after 30 years was it necessary to reglue, and only the ends. It is a basic T-profile with the middle piece much shorter than the others.

To get OEM, you can order from www.scandcar.com

WOW!,
is that $69 euro each or each side for OEM scrapers?
Those scrapers are more than the OEM vent window rubber?
Where can I find the T shaped seal.
Thanks,
Tim

Volvo has them and, uncharacteristically, they aren't too expensive.

More advice 140-160

Be sure the drains in the bottom of the doors are open so if rain does get
in, it can get out!

I'm not sure which seals were used in the 71, since mine is a 69,
but if it has a stainless strip along the edge that will take a round
rubber bead about 1/8" in diameter, seal material for a 122 will probably
work. Among others, Eric Hamlet in California has had it on ebay, where
I bought some.
There is another iteration of seal material that looks the same from outside
but has a metal channel that grips the metal of the door from below. You have
to take the glass out to put that kind in. I don't know if it is available
anywhere or not. (I need one for mine, since I put one in as a retrofit in
Panama in about 1973 and the metal channel has since rusted out.
