Could someone suggest the best and most effortless way to clean out the air intake to the car interior. I've noticed a big difference between fresh air intake and recirculating interior air. Is this normal or is there dirt build up somewhere?

I suppose a shop-vac and a long extension. I cleaned mine when I pulled out the seats and carpet to fix the rust on the floor. the floor vents under the seat have 1 philips screw on each side and the front part behind the kick panel just pops off. It's a lot of work this way, but you will get the cleanest vents. Especially if there is like a dead mouse, mildew or something stinky lodged inside.
