740 ABS control module question 700 1991

I'm considering buying a 1991 740T with a known bad ABS control module. I know the part is expensive, but I don't care if the car doesn't have ABS so I wasn't going to replace it. Are there any reasons not to drive the car without the control module working? Not looking for a debate on the merits of ABS, just info on whether the module affects normal brake operation.

Thanks

If you unplug it, then braking will not be affected. You may have to remove the ABS lamp in the IP which may illuminate continuously. You could also install a junkyard module and make the system functional again. They last a long time.
