I've bought all of my 200/700 Volvo green manuals on eBay (I have about 2.5 binders full). For the price of a new one from www.VolvoTechInfo.com, I can buy about 3 of them at auction prices. The trick is to be patient, think ahead of repairs or service that you might need in the next 6 months to a year, and bid when you see the manuals that will assist you with your car.
Personally, if I had to rank the 240 Green manuals that have been most valuable to me, they would be the following:
1. Wiring diagrams for your specific year(s) of compatible vehicles.
2. Fuel Injection service manual (for your specific FI version, 2.0, 2.2, etc.)
3. Transmission and/or drivetrain.
4. Front Suspension
5. Rear suspension
6. Engine (for your specific engine, B21F, B23F, B230F, etc.)
However, a copy of the Bentley book will cover just about everything the DIY home mechanic will need.
God bless,
Fitz Fitzgerald.
