Anybody here ever deal with Paul Eddie, in Modesto, CA? DON'T... 200

I just thought I'd take a minute to spread the word, since I never did it here. About 6 months ago I was looking for a set of blue floor trays for my 245, and posted a message on the turbobricks board. I got an email from Paul Eddie, aka Volvula, in Modesto, California. He offered what he said was a very nice set for $48 shipped. I mailed out a money order the next day.

3 weeks later, when they hadn't arrived, I emailed him 3 times. He finally replied that he'd forgotten to put them on his to do list, and asked if he could include anything extra to make up for it, and I told him not to worry, it was fine.

After another 2 weeks, I tried emailing again, and got no replies. I finally posted to the turbobricks board, and got slammed by the membership there. Some said I hadn't waited long enough, the rest thought since it was just $48, that I should just shut up and take the loss. Paul himself emailed and told me that since I'd tried to be a badass, I'd be receiving nothing.

During the same time, he'd ripped some kid off for the price of a set of Virgos. I'd tried to sell him a set I had that needed a little work, but he wanted perfect, and then waited for a mmonth for nothing. When he complained on the board, he got his wheels, but one of them was too bent to use.

Tonight I finally bought another set of the mats, after 6 months of nothing. When I sell something, I take pride in knowing that it arrives in a reasonable time, and that it's at least as nice as I advertised. Some people don't have such values.

Where did you get his name from to buy the matts in the first place?? It might be fun for a hundred of us (or so) to pretend to purchase something then, e-mail him back a short time later withdrawing the order because you heard of his reputation.
It'll be fun knowing that he's squirming a bit.

Sorry to hear that....Because of a few idiots like that,it makes it that much tougher for guys that are hustling this and that on the side. It's a shame people can't deal honestly and ethically, I guess it's the times we live in. I don't like it, though, and don't accept it. A similiar situation happened to someone on a BMW board and one of the regular posters was a computer savvy P.I.
By the time they were done with the perp, he was begging to send this guy anything he wanted.

If you used the USPS and you used one of their money orders then Mr.Paul Eddie commited MAIL FRAUD. If he had pulled that crap on me he would be in DEEP S***.
Even if it was ONE DOLLAR, he took your money and you did not received your goods. I would suggest that you gather all of your documents and go have a talk with the postal inspectors. Maybe they could jerk a knot in Paul Eddies'ass. There are a lots of jerks on the "dickboard" that run their mouths(keyboards) like they are so much better than anyone else. Enough said.
Anyway, sorry you got ripped and maybe you can do something legally. I have always tried to beleive that "what comes around goes around" and hopefully he will get what he deserves. Later, rcs

I tried that route, and filing a mail fraud claim against an individual can be a massively pointless experience. Apparently, they use the number of complaints against a business or individual to determine whether an investigation will even be launched, so chances are a small time scammer will never be punished.

However, if there's anybody on the board who has a contact in the postal inspector's office, I'd be glad for the help... ;)

Yes, I know all too well how pointless it can be dealing with a government entity. It gets to be a waste of time REALLY quick. At least you tried. Later, rcs

Hey thanks for the heads up. It's too bad jerks like him get away with that sort of crap. It also seems as though some people on turbo brick have no value for actually getting something that they payed for. I don't blame you for posting this message. This guy is a crook and no one should do bussiness with him.

Thanks for the support. You're right, there's a core of guys at turbobricks who seem to think it's ok for scammers to use their board to rip people off, and who don't tolerate posts to alert others. I quit visiting that board after the hammering I took when I posted the last time.

BTW, Paul gave me an invitation to come over and try to take the floor mats from him... If any of you live in Modesto and want to do that, you can have the mats with my blessing.
