It really is working now...I've checked on another computer 200

After a few hours of learning HTML code, my website is finally working. Go to:
http://valvespringcompressor.weblogs.us
and you should see the site. if there are any more problems, please tell me and I'll try to fix things. thanks for the help, and enjoy! When I get access to a digital camera, I hope to put up other various little things, but for now this is enough for me. tata

Great Layout - However the photos are not showing up. Check to make sure the references to them in the code point at the server file they are placed in. Right now it looks as if they point back to your hard drive. file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Nate/My%20Documents/My%

They will appear to you to be working, but to everyone else on the web they are blank. I made the same mistake myself once. I look forward to linking to your page from my Volvo page when you get it fixed.

If you've already uploaded the pictures, the links that you use for the images need to be "relative" links as opposed to "absolute" links. I don't know how weblogs does their code, but if there is a option setting somewhere between relative and absolute links, you might have chosen absolute links by mistake. And when you use relative links, make sure that the folders are set up the same way, with the same names, on the remote folder as on your computer.

OK, now I've uploaded the images, but the HTML they're giving me, when pasted into my post, don't do anything....they just give the dumb red "x". I'll figure it out soon. Thanks for the help guys!

OK, I've gone through and (I think) figured out how to get the pictures to show up. only problem is now their website is down so I can't re-do the thing until they get it back up. I'll keep you posted.

Look at the links again. They die before it gets to the actual image name.

Thanks for the effort, Nate! The pics are there "somewhere", I can see them when copying the full adress into the address field. (Like http://valvespringcompressor.weblogs.us/images/valvespringtool 008 copy.jpg) Keep up the good work!

Erling.
