Ever heard of a Brador 120-130

In the early eighties I saw a Morgan like sports car based on what I believe to be 140 mechanicals. The vehicule was manufactured in southern Ontario, Sarnia I believe. Does anyone have any pics of this car or info, a fellow Volvo enthusiast thinks I am making this up. I am counting on your input as a hefty bet has been placed on this info, the looser has to replace the heater fan of the winners 2 series when it dies(I have 1 2 series on the road(fan is 2 years old) he has 6, he wants to win!!)

Merci all you brickboarders

Yvan

Ever heard of a Brador 120-130

Hello, Yvan. My "New Encyclopedia of Motorcars" by Georgano lists only four vehicles (besides Volvos) that sourced Volvo engines: the De Lorean, the Facel Vega, the Marcos, and something called the Rvia Sunrise, manufactured in Des Moines, Washington, in the late 1970s. The Rvia (not a typo) is described as "suggestive of a lowered and customized 3-liter Bentley, with cabriolet bodywork and centre-lock wire wheels." Don't know if that helps much, but "Rvia" certainly doesn't sound much like "Brador." I couldn't find a photo of one, but did find an Rvia brochure for sale on eBay:

Good luck,

Dave

And let's not forget the Indigo 3000.

Here's the image... The scan isn't the best, but it does resemble a Morgan from the front, doesn't it?

Well, there was a wooden-frame Marcos, made in Ingleterre, which had
a B18/20 with Volvo tranny and some of the running gear, and later,
there was a metal-frame Marcos with a B30 engine. Both slick-looking
and very LOW, stiff sports cars. That is about the closest I can come
up with.

You've asked four times. FOUR TIMES.

Still no answer, other than a type of Molsons.

I searched google, ask.com, and a couple other search engines for you.

If something exists, or ever existed, it ought to be on the 'net *somewhere*.

No brickboarder ever heard of it, the web hasn't heard of it.

Search string: +brador +volvo yields *NOTHING*

Get ready for that blower replacement.

Mr Guy

Thanks for your searches, I realy (my back actually) donČt want to replace that fan, they always seem to give up when the local weather calls for -20 temps for more than a week. I know I saw the car at the Toronto auto show in about 84 I even had the sales brochure unitl my basement flooded, My wife remembers it too, but she doesn't count as she will help in the eventual fan change(she enjoys working on cars as much as I do, I am VERY LUCKY, she even races a Volco at the local dirt track

What as the Canadian made Cobra 289 replica called? There was one on IPD in their photo contest year before last. That seems to be what you are thinking. Based on 'some' 240 mechanicals (I can't believe they would use the front stuts?)
Aurora strikes a bell for me. Pretty close, no?

I think you may lose on a technicality but you're not losin' it.

My email's accessable through the site's envelope sign, if I can help win the arguement.

I've taken it further.

I've searched on:

+brador +car
+brador +automobile
+sarnia +car

...and I've searched on dozens of car-related websites for "Brador".

I simply can not understand why nobody, no place, anywhere on the Internet has any mention of a Brador automobile.

Memories get fuzzy over time. I can't remember anything useful from 20 years ago, yet I remember a lot of useless things.

I don't know what to tell you.

You're not thinking of the Bricklin, are you? They were made in New Brunswick and had a Ford 351 powering them. But I guess they don't look anything at all like a Morgan.

The only Brador I've heard of is intended to be drunk, not driven.

Had one of those, not a great car, but interesting. I've never had the beverage stated as I don't drink alcohol(I'm crazy enough as is don't require outside help).

Merci
