what's happening.

seems an electrical problem has popped up and i can't really make sense of it: i've got a 1991 945T and all the power windows function properly. from the driver's control panel. the two power windows in the rear cannot be operated at all from their respective locations. the kill all switch on the driver's control panel isn't the problem.

i ended getting a new power window switch from the local dealer, plugged it in, and still no juice. i haven't cleaned/rebuilt the switch (after reading the faq), but i'm figuring if a new switch won't function, why should the old one?

anyways. if there are any suggestion, mucho gracias.

BTW, i'm scheduled to get those damaged leather seat cushions on the front repaired at an auto upholstery place here in portland. i'll post an update later next week...

yes,,with a meter see if you have power LEAVING the drivers door switch panel.
notice the fat red wires are the power wires..
you can see them jump from switch to switch.
if all red wires going back thru door have power , see if at the other switches you have power.
at other switches you can check by putting power to them.
prob best to discon batt and use a spare batt and jumper wires,black ground and red positive at the switch.one red for up,one red for down,will tell you if switch and motor good.
use meter to check first for a good ground from black wire(s)to a body part.
have done this,,hope i havent omited anything..

You are going to have to pop off the door panel and check to see if you are getting power to and from the switch, and if not track it back to why not.

bet its the wiring fro mthe kill switch TOO the back switches...get a meter on the connectors..
