Well, the place I got my car towed to suspects the AMM is bad. Obviously I don't want them to fix it, I think that is one thing I can handle. When I unplugged it and tried to get it to "limp home", it still wouldn't run for me, but they said it did for them. Anyone know where I can pick up a good used AMM quickly for a reasonable cost? It's a 86 245, pretty sure it ends with 007. Thanks.

Liedel,

$21... a great deal... but, is there a gaurantee on that AMM. Be careful with electronic purchases on Ebay! What codes did you get on the diagnostic unit?

I didn't get the codes, the mechanic I took it to tested it the best he could. The guy I bought it from has great feedback( which on Ebay is all you can go on) and sells a lot of Volvo parts so I figured for the dough it was worth a shot, even if it doesn't solve the problem.

Limp home means it will idle fine, but barely run. You can drive but you have to be very very easy on the gas.

You may want to check E-bay; there are almost alway a few listed. Where are you there may be a bricker close to you that could help you out?

only info i can offer is it has to end in 007. any other will not work. good luck, chuck.
