Aisan Clutch Fan question for the experts! 900

Fan Clutch, Clutch Fan, whichever! I saw what looked to be a newly installed fan clutch on a volvo in the dyi junkyard. I couldn't tell aside from the brand new 10mm nuts holding the clutch fan in place. There is a number stamped on the car, but I can't actually tell if this is a new one or not. It's an Aisan (sp?) with black numbers and/or letters on it. It's pretty clean, not completely unused, but the 4 10mm nuts were brand new! What's the chance that this is a new unit, and, does anyone know how to read the numbers on the part itself?

Thanks as always,

JB

dont know about reading the numbers, but i can tell you that Aisan is the name of the Borg Warner equivalent in Japan (you will see AW on your xmission which stands for Aisan Warner).

Anyhow, you can pretty much bet the clutch is original, a part that RARELY goes bad. And as far as the bolts, they are frequently changed with new ones (cheap) whenever the fan clutch and/or pulley is removed. For example, whenever the timing belt or water pump is changed.
