differance between a K9800 and a K10042 speedometer? which cars used which one? 200

as the subject says.... is the K9800 used in a lh2.0? and the K10042 from then on?

9800 is wagon, 10042 sedan (ring pulses per mile)... 200

... with as-delivered stock size tires & wheels. Sedan tire is supposed to be a little taller I guess. In my limited experience, I've only seen them come this way—wagon vs. sedan.

You're right about the appliication, but it's the wagon that has the larger diameter tires.

Yes it would. I was just replying to the previous post that said the sedan tires are taller, which was incorrect. Buying tires for a 240 sedan is easy, buying the right size tires for a 240 wagon is impossible in the US.

k9800, etc. only refers to the ratio of the speedo internals, nothing to do with which fuel system, car, etc. use the wrong ratio in the car and the speed will be off-.98/1 to 1.0042/1. you do the math. good luck, chuck.
